Acute Rehabilitation Unit Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital’s acute rehabilitation program is a highly specialized 22-bed unit that provides services for adult patients of all ages who have suffered functional loss due to disabling illness or injury and individuals recuperating after surgery. State-of-the art equipment and the most current treatment approaches are fully utilized to maximize patient outcomes. The rehabilitation patients are very busy during the day attending various therapy sessions. Therefore, the unit has restricted visiting hours. Mon-Fri 6-8:30p, Sat 12 noon-8:30p, Sunday anytime until 8:30p, Holidays anytime until 8:30p. For admission /information call 304-234-0538.
There are four levels of care offered under one roof at Peterson Rehab Hospital that include inpatient rehab, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing care, and long term care. Dr. William Mercer will be directing the Acute Inpatient Rehab program.
